Every dish is good. In the end, We ordered one pudding but the guy serve us two dishes, we try to tell him to take one back but he refuse, so we finished both easily and want to order one more
I am pleasantly surprised by this busy “chicken restaurant” They are all very local authentic Taiwanese dishes. I can still recall and remember the taste of the food in my mouth. This is a place I will come back and bring my friends.
Seems to be a spot frequented by tourists and older locals. 三味雞 (3 flavor chicken) was good and quite special. I liked the free dessert as well. Cute old school decorations. Toilet was clean.
We told the maitre d we didn't have a reservation and he was quite rude, saying "no reservation no table" then flat out ignored us. Another waitress saw what was happening and kindly gave us a table. We ordered mapo tofu, chicken roll, cuttlefish, three taste chicken, sesame oil chicken casserole etc. My fav were the mapo tofu and cuttlefish. Least fav was the casserole. A good eat overall and would definitely come again.
Decent Taiwanese food ( we guess), enjoyed most with delicious tofu and flavorful braised pork. We were also treated to a complimentary dessert, which was a nice surprise. Overall, a very satisfying dining experience in Taipei—definitely worth the price. (Small size is more than enough for two)
Delicious local food. The rice is amazing and everyone should order it. If you dare not to see the bones, please try drunken chicken. I like the black-bone chicken a lot. The quality of chicken is super elastic. After-meal dessert is pudding, handmade and quite tasty .
My son loves this chicken spot. They have different types with each their own taste and other dishes thst are good
This place deserves a higher than 4.2 rating. Super well made local cuisine. Ok, yes, it is on the pricier side but you get good quality with it and the restaurant is in a tourist trap area. My favorite is of course the chicken broth rice with Drunken Chicken legs. What a combo. All other dishes are well made and delicious. The location is tourist center but the restaurant is clean the service is fast and it does help when you speak Chinese.
